The unique location of this property gave it a "big sky" feeling, even though it is situated in Northern California. As a weekend retreat house, the owners sought to maximize the pleasures of country life in a sunny locale. To complement the Australian-inspired architecture, we contributed wide open entertaining spaces, ample areas of welcome shade, and a swimming pool large enough to handle a small sailing vessel. Altogether it was exactly what the owners and their guests were looking for: uncomplicated comfort in an idyllic setting.
