It's a little hard to believe that the entrance to this majestic valley home once was a straight line, from the road to the house. Sensing that something far more magical was required, we rerouted the drive in a natural curve and lined it with ancient olive trees, perfectly at home in this Mediterranean-like setting. For a least eight months out of the year, the owners practically live outdoors with every imaginable accoutrement close at hand–from outdoor fireplace, wood-fired oven, family-sized dining table, to the resort-size swimming pool. La dolce vita, indeed.
