Seemingly growing out of the very site itself, this house, designed by a disciple of
Frank Lloyd Wright, demanded an equally dramatic landscape. Over 800 tons of boulders
were trucked to the property to create a beguiling stream which falls gently along the
stepped path to the front door. Flat areas for outdoor entertaining and relaxing were
created on the hillside, using impressive boulders and imported soil. To add to the
outdoor functionality, a large outdoor kitchen was tucked into a convenient space
between the kitchen and the garden.
