This house in the Eastern hills above Napa was constructed on a relatively small,
irregularly shaped lot with a distinct downslope. As challenging as the site was, its
idiosyncrasies ultimately resulted in a very intimate garden, one which makes maximum
usage of every bit of available space. Several outdoor rooms were created, each
connected to the other; even the lap pool served double duty as both a place for
exercise as well as a beautiful water feature, complete with the soothing sound of falling water.
